The Heart of Low Voltage Power Distribution
Low tension switchgear is the core equipment in AC 0.4kV power distribution systems. It is installed in the low-voltage distribution room on the transformer secondary side. The switchgear collects power and distributes it to workshops, buildings, and power equipment through individual circuits. It integrates short circuit protection, overload protection, leakage protection, reactive power compensation, energy metering, and remote monitoring functions. It is the "power heart" of plant distribution, commercial building power supply, hospital and data center power, and power station low-voltage interconnection. All products strictly follow GB 7251 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies" and IEC 61439 standards.
GGD fixed type is the most common and highest market share model. Internal components are fixed on the frame. The structure is simple. Current carrying capacity is high. Maintenance is convenient. Cost-effectiveness is excellent. It is the first choice for factory workshops, substation low-voltage sides, and large-capacity main distribution. GCS withdrawable type has functional units designed as withdrawable drawer modules. Each circuit (feeder or motor circuit) is an independent drawer. When a fault occurs in one circuit, the faulty drawer can be quickly pulled out for replacement or repair. The entire switchgear does not need to be de-energized. This high reliability makes it particularly suitable for automated production lines, hospitals, and commercial complexes where long power outages are not acceptable.
Low tension switchgear products include MNS withdrawable type. This technology originates from ABB's high-end product series. The structure is more compact. It has more drawer units and higher space utilization. Smart integration capability is excellent. It is the mainstream choice for data centers, high-end buildings, and precision manufacturing plants. A complete low-voltage distribution room typically contains five types of cabinets. The incoming cabinet has an air circuit breaker (630A-6300A). It connects the total power supply from the transformer low-voltage side. The capacitor compensation cabinet has capacitor banks and reactors. These automatically switch to compensate reactive power based on load changes. This improves power factor and reduces line losses.


Cabinet Combinations and Quality Control
The outgoing feeder cabinet distributes power through multiple molded case circuit breakers to workshops, buildings, and downstream distribution boxes. The automatic transfer switch cabinet provides automatic switching between mains and standby generator power. This ensures critical loads never lose power. The metering cabinet has multi-function smart power meters for factory power billing and energy consumption monitoring. Cabinets connect through three-phase five-wire fully insulated copper busbars.
