Core Equipment for Power Distribution and Protection
High voltage electrical switchgear is the core equipment in 3.6-40.5kV substations, large factory power distribution rooms, and renewable energy step-up stations. It handles high-voltage power incoming, distribution, protection, metering, and bus coupling functions. The switchgear integrates vacuum circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, current/voltage transformers, surge arresters, and comprehensive relay protection devices. These enable safe power switching, automatic fault isolation, and remote system monitoring. Anhui Tiankang's high voltage electrical switchgear uses KYN28A-12 armored withdrawable metal-clad switchgear as the absolute main model. We also cover XGN series fixed switchgear and C-GIS gas-insulated switchgear. All products strictly follow GB 3906 and IEC 62271-200 standards.
The KYN28A-12 armored withdrawable switchgear is the most common product for 10kV distribution networks. The internal metal barriers completely separate the circuit breaker compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment, and secondary control compartment. Each compartment is independent. The circuit breaker is mounted on a withdrawable truck. For maintenance, the truck can be pulled out of the cabinet. Maintenance personnel do not need to enter live compartments. Safety is excellent. The trucks are interchangeable. Faulty breakers can be replaced within minutes.
High voltage electrical switchgear products include XGN series fixed switchgear. The structure is simpler with fixed-mounted circuit breakers. There is no truck. The cost is lower. This suits small distribution rooms and light-load plants. C-GIS gas-insulated switchgear has high-voltage components sealed in SF6 or dry air gas tanks. The volume is only about one-third of air-insulated switchgear. It is fully insulated and fully sealed. This is the best choice for basements, tunnels, and tight distribution spaces. For 35kV, KYN61-40.5 is the main model.


Standard Switchgear Combinations
A high-voltage distribution room typically consists of multiple switchgear units. The incoming cabinet brings power from the upstream grid. It uses large-capacity circuit breakers and protection devices. The PT metering cabinet has voltage transformers and meters. It handles busbar voltage monitoring and power statistics. The bus coupler cabinet connects two busbar sections for dual power or sectional operation. The outgoing cabinet distributes high-voltage power to downstream transformers or ring main units. The capacitor cabinet provides reactive power compensation to improve power factor and reduce line losses. The earthing/arrester cabinet provides lightning protection and maintenance safety earthing. Cabinets connect through busbars to form a complete high-voltage distribution system. All cabinets have complete mechanical five-prevention interlocks to prevent misoperation.
