Ultrasonic Water Level Meter

Clean water tanks, wastewater regulation basins, river channels, and powder silos need level or material level monitoring. Operators often prefer sensors that never touch the media. This avoids corrosion, wear, and blockage problems. Anhui Tiankang's ultrasonic water level meter (TC series) mounts at the top of the container. The probe emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses. These pulses reflect off the liquid or material surface and return to the probe. The instrument calculates the distance from the probe to the surface based on the time of flight. Using the known installation height, it automatically converts this distance into a liquid level or material level value. The non-contact design means no wear, no blockage, and very simple installation and maintenance.

Selection mainly depends on the measuring range and site conditions. We offer four standard ranges: 0-5m, 0-10m, 0-20m, and 0-30m. These cover everything from small storage tanks to large reservoirs. The integrated type (TC) combines the probe and host unit in one device. The on-site LCD display is convenient. Wiring is simple. This suits standard water tanks and storage applications. The remote type (TCF) separates the host from the probe. The signal transmission distance reaches up to 100 meters. This is ideal for tank top installations with high temperature, high corrosion, heavy dust, or limited access.

Ultrasonic water level meter products also include the flameproof type (TCX, ExdⅡCT6) for chemical, oil, and gas hazardous areas. For corrosive environments with acid or alkaline wastewater, the probe can be equipped with PP or PTFE anti-corrosion materials.

The ultrasonic water level meter is affected by the condition of the media surface. It works best with liquid surfaces that are calm or have only small ripples. There should be no heavy foam, strong steam, or thick fog. Heavy foam absorbs ultrasonic waves and causes signal loss. Strong vapors from volatile media also attenuate the sound waves significantly. The meter is most suitable for clean water, wastewater, acid and alkaline solutions (without foam), and solid materials like grain and coal powder.

The meter does not work with highly viscous sticky media, vacuum conditions, or high-pressure sealed tanks. For installation, the probe should be perpendicular to the liquid surface. It should be positioned away from internal obstacles like mixer blades and support beams. These obstacles can create false reflections.

All products strictly follow JB/T 10336 standards. Accuracy is 0.5% FS to 1% FS. Output includes 4-20mA and RS485 Modbus as standard. The meter has high and low level relay alarms, false echo suppression, and blind zone automatic compensation. Power supply is DC24V. Integrated type IP67 protection, remote type probe IP68 (submersible). Export shipments include CE (LVD+EMC+RoHS) certification and ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof certificates.
