5G micro base stations, smart street lights, road surveillance, and campus security systems need both power supply and network communication for their devices. The traditional approach is to install separate power cables and communication optical cables. This takes up twice the cable tray space. It increases installation costs. Maintenance becomes more complicated later. Anhui Tiankang's photoelectric composite cable (OPLC series) integrates fiber optic communication units and copper power supply units within a single sheath. One cable installation completes both power and optical signal transmission.

Compared to separate installation, the photoelectric composite cable saves over 40% of cable tray or conduit space. Construction time reduces by about 30%. Overall cost advantages are significant. The internal structure has three core parts. The fiber optic unit uses loose tube packaging. It contains single-mode G.652D or G.657A2 fibers. Fiber counts range from 2 to 24 cores. The tubes are filled with water-blocking gel. Aramid yarn provides tensile strength. This suits long-distance high-speed optical signal transmission.

Photoelectric composite cable products include the copper power conductor unit. This uses oxygen-free copper insulated conductors. Specifications range from 0.5mm² to 10mm². The rated voltage is 300/500V or 450/750V. This meets the remote power supply needs of cameras, RRUs, sensors, and other equipment. The outer protection layer depends on the installation environment. Indoor types use PVC or low-smoke halogen-free LSZH flame-retardant sheaths. These are flexible and easy to thread through conduits. Outdoor types use PE waterproof sheaths.

Application-Specific Cable Variants

 

We offer steel tape armor (STA) for direct burial requiring compression resistance. Steel wire armor (SWA) provides tensile strength for aerial installations. These ensure long-term reliability in harsh environments. Different application scenarios require specific cable types. The indoor type (GDVV/GDJFH) has a flat small outer diameter. It is flexible and easy to install. It suits FTTH fiber to the home, indoor APs, and equipment room wiring.

The outdoor duct/direct burial type features steel tape armor. This provides water resistance, moisture protection, and compression resistance. It suits smart street lights, campus security, and distribution automation. The aerial self-supporting type has built-in strengthening steel wires. No separate messenger wire is needed. This suits road surveillance and rural long-distance installations.

Specialty Cables for Power Systems

 

For power systems, we offer OPGW (optical fiber composite overhead ground wire) for 110kV and above transmission lines. This combines lightning protection with communication functions. OPPC (optical fiber composite phase conductor) suits distribution lines. ADSS (all-dielectric self-supporting optical cable) suits retrofitting on old utility poles. All products can be customized with flame-retardant, fire-resistant, and explosion-proof special structures.

Strict compliance with YD/T 5242-2018 and IEC 60794 standards. Single-mode fiber attenuation at 1310nm is ≤0.36dB/km. At 1550nm it is ≤0.22dB/km. Copper conductor DC resistance complies with GB/T3956 standards. Standard cable length is 1000m per reel. Custom lengths are available. Export shipments include CE (LVD+EMC+RoHS) certification and IEC standard test reports.
