Many industrial sites do not need complex electronic transmitters. They need a simple thermometer that works without any external power. Operators want to walk up to a pipe or tank and read the temperature instantly. Anhui Tiankang's bimetal temperature gauge (WSS series) delivers exactly this. The sensing element uses two metals with different thermal expansion rates bonded together into a spiral coil. When temperature changes, the coil expands or contracts. This movement drives a pointer across the dial through a simple gear mechanism. No batteries. No power supply. No complex wiring. The gauge works even during a complete plant power outage.

The mechanical design offers exceptional reliability. There are no electronic components to fail. The gauge continues showing temperatures accurately for years with minimal maintenance. This makes bimetal temperature gauges the preferred choice for steam pipelines, heating systems, storage tanks, and HVAC applications.

Bimetal temperature gauge products come in three mounting angle options. The axial type has the dial in line with the probe. This works well for vertical upward pipe installations in tight spaces. The radial type has the dial at 90 degrees to the probe. This is the most popular option for side-mounted pipes. It allows operators to read the dial at eye level. The universal type uses a flexible bellows joint for 360-degree rotation. This is ideal for hard-to-see corners like equipment elbows and inside enclosures.

Standard Features and Extension Options

 

Dial sizes come in φ60, φ100, and φ150mm. Probe lengths range from 75mm to 2000mm. Customers can order exactly the length they need. In addition to basic local display, we offer two extension options. The electrical contact type (WSSX) has adjustable contacts inside the dial. When the temperature reaches preset limits, the contacts close or open. This outputs a switching signal directly to fans, solenoid valves, or audible alarms. This enables automatic temperature protection without a separate controller.

The remote transmission type (WSSP) integrates a Pt100 transmitter module inside the dial. This outputs a 4-20mA standard signal to the DCS system. Operators get both local display and remote transmission. Both extension options are available with ExdⅡCT6 flameproof housings for chemical and oil and gas hazardous areas.

Quality Materials and International Standards

 

The gauge strictly follows JB/T 8803 industry standards and EN 13190 international standards. Accuracy is 1.0% (precision grade) or 1.5% (industrial standard grade). The probe protection tube comes in many materials. Universal 304 and 321 stainless steel serve most applications. Corrosion-resistant 316L and Hastelloy C-276 handle aggressive media. High-temperature GH3030 suits extreme heat conditions.

For high-pressure steam pipelines, the thermowell type (WSS-403S) handles up to 30MPa pressure. Every bimetal temperature gauge undergoes rigorous factory verification before shipment. Export orders include CE certification, English material certificates, and NPT threads.
