The waterproof design starts with the junction box. We use a high-grade cast aluminum housing with precision-machined sealing surfaces. A durable silicone rubber gasket creates a tight seal between the cover and the base. All cable entries use compression-type cable glands with rubber seals. These glands grip the cable firmly and prevent water from traveling along the wire into the junction box. The entire assembly meets IP65 ingress protection standards. This means the unit is completely protected against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction.
Waterproof thermocouple products are ideal for outdoor installations. Rain, snow, and condensation will not affect performance. In food processing facilities, high-pressure washdowns happen daily. Our waterproof sensors survive these cleaning cycles without damage. Chemical plants often have corrosive vapors that condense on equipment. The waterproof housing prevents this moisture from reaching the sensitive internal connections.

Temperature ranges span from -200°C to 1600°C depending on the type selected. The waterproof housing adds no compromise to measurement accuracy or response time.
We offer both assembled and sheathed versions in our waterproof thermocouple line. Assembled types (WRN-230WF) use a rigid protection tube. These are suitable for fixed installations like boiler walls and storage tanks. Sheathed types (WRNK-241WF) offer flexibility for tight spaces and vibrating equipment. Both versions undergo the same rigorous quality testing as our standard products.
