Extended Lifespan in High-Abrasion Conditions

 

Circulating fluidized bed boilers, cement rotary kilns, coal mills, and catalytic cracking units have one thing in common. The temperature sensors in these applications face constant impact from high-speed solid particles. Coal powder, clinker, and catalyst materials scour the sensor surface continuously. Ordinary stainless steel protection tubes wear through in weeks or even days under these conditions. Anhui Tiankang's wear resistant thermocouple and abrasion resistant RTD solve this problem with specially treated high-hardness tips.
The key to extended life is the hardness of the wear-resistant tip. Our tips achieve HRC62 to 65 hardness. This is far superior to ordinary stainless steel at HRC20. The result is service life that extends several times to over ten times longer than standard sensors. This means fewer replacements, less downtime, and significant cost savings over the life of the equipment.
Wear resistant thermocouple and abrasion resistant RTD products come with four standard tip material options. Each option matches different temperature and abrasion intensity levels. Plasma-sprayed tungsten carbide (LM type) works at 0 to 800°C. This cost-effective option suits medium dust erosion scenarios like power plant air ducts and boiler outlets. High-chromium cast wear-resistant alloy (CM type) handles 1150°C. This is ideal for cement kilns and circulating fluidized bed furnaces.

Matching the Right Tip to Your Application

 

Silicon carbide ceramic metal (KM type) offers the longest wear life. It withstands 1300°C. However, this material does not handle rapid thermal shock well. Overlay welding nickel-tungsten alloy (MQ type) is designed specifically for refinery catalytic cracking units. The MQ type features a "cut-off" structure that automatically breaks the circuit when the tube wears through. This protects the instrument system from damage.

Our wear-resistant line covers most installation scenarios. Assembled wear-resistant types (WRN-230NM) use fixed threads or flanges. These suit general pressure (≤10MPa) and flow velocity (≤100m/s) pipelines. Flameproof wear-resistant types (WRN-240NM) feature ExdⅡCT6 junction boxes. Thermowell wear-resistant types (WRN-630NM) handle 30MPa pressure. These are suitable for power station main pipelines with coal powder and steam erosion. Sheathed wear-resistant types (WRNN-431) fit tight spaces with strong vibration like coal mills and induced draft fans.

Replaceable Tips Reduce Maintenance Costs

 

Tiankang maintains a complete wear material testing system. We inspect hardness, coating thickness, and bonding strength for every batch. Wear-resistant products are consumables by nature. That is why we designed the tip to be replaceable. When the tip wears out, customers only need to change the front section. The whole sensor does not need replacement. This approach significantly reduces spare parts inventory costs.

Export shipments include English material test reports, ASTM A240 stainless steel material certificates, and ISO17025 calibration reports. The 18-month warranty provides peace of mind.
