Single Installation for Multiple Temperature Points
In petrochemical distillation towers, large storage tanks, and chemical reactors, measuring temperature at just one point is rarely enough. Operators need to know the temperature gradient at different heights or depths. This information helps optimize distillation efficiency, accurately measure inventory, and control reaction progress. The traditional approach is to install multiple independent sensors through separate openings in the tank or tower. This increases leak risks and installation costs. Anhui Tiankang's multi-point RTD solves this problem by integrating multiple independent Pt100 sheathed elements within a single protection tube. One single opening provides 2 to 12 temperature measurement points at different depths.
The modular design ensures each measurement point operates independently. If one element fails, the other points continue working normally. A multi-channel recorder or PLC scans and collects temperature signals from all points simultaneously. Operators can clearly see the vertical temperature distribution inside the tank or tower. This data is invaluable for process optimization and quality control.
Multi-point RTD products come in two main types. The sheathed multi-point RTD (WZPKD) is the common choice for petrochemical distillation towers. The sheathed core has outer diameters of φ3, φ4, φ5, or φ6mm. These sensors bend slightly, resist vibration, and respond quickly. The number of points and their lengths are fully customizable. Four, six, and eight points are the most common configurations. For static applications like atmospheric storage tanks and water tanks with no vibration, the assembled multi-point RTD (WZPD) offers better cost efficiency.


Flexible Installation and Junction Box Options
The mounting base uses an integral flange (DN50/DN80/DN100) or fixed thread (M27×2). This ensures the complete product inserts securely into the tank or tower. The junction box features a multi-chamber design. Each measurement point has its own independent terminal. Customers can choose waterproof IP65 or flameproof Exd housings. For distillation towers in hazardous areas, the flameproof multi-point RTD (WZPKD-44C) with ExdⅡCT6 rating is available.
We also offer integrated multi-channel transmitter modules. These convert resistance signals directly to 4-20mA outputs for each point. This simplifies DCS connection and reduces wiring costs.
Precise Customization and Quality Assurance
Tiankang has mature sheathed core manufacturing and multi-point assembly processes. Once the measurement point lengths are customized, they cannot be changed. Each multi-point RTD receives careful verification of all measurement point positions before shipment. The technical team works with each customer to confirm every insertion depth (L1, L2, L3...). This ensures the sensors correspond precisely to the liquid level layers after installation.
Export shipments include English measurement point length reports, ISO17025 calibration reports, and ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof certificates. The 18-month warranty applies to all products.
