Explosion-proof Bimetallic Thermometer

Oil refineries, natural gas stations, and coal chemical plants all need local temperature monitoring. But ordinary bimetal thermometers do not have explosion-proof protection. The electrical contact types create tiny sparks when contacts open or close. In flammable gas environments, these sparks can ignite the surrounding atmosphere. Anhui Tiankang's explosion-proof bimetallic thermometer (WSSX-B series) solves this problem. It adds a certified flameproof junction box to the mechanical temperature display. The box contains any arcs or sparks from the internal electrical contacts safely inside the housing.

The core safety feature is the die-cast aluminum housing with precision flameproof gaps. When internal contacts spark, the explosion travels through these narrow gaps. The gaps cool the flame before it can ignite explosive gases outside the housing. The housing meets IP65 ingress protection. This means dust and water jets cannot enter the unit. The design ensures reliable operation in outdoor and harsh environments.

Explosion-proof bimetallic thermometer products offer ExdⅡBT4 and ExdⅡCT6 ratings. The T6 rating keeps the maximum housing surface temperature below 85°C. This allows safe use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas containing hydrogen, acetylene, and other high-risk gases. The product holds NEPSI national explosion-proof certification. All features of the standard bimetal thermometer remain available. The electrical contact capacity is 10VA. Maximum voltage is AC220V or DC24V. Maximum current is 0.7A. The upper and lower limits are independently adjustable. Contacts directly activate on-site solenoid valves, fans, or audible alarms.

Mounting options offer full flexibility. The radial thread type (WSSX-411B) is the most common for side pipe mounting. The universal type (WSSX-481B) fits tight spaces and elbows. The flange type (WSSX-441B) works with large storage tanks. For high-pressure steam pipelines, the thermowell flameproof type (WSSX-403SB) handles 30MPa pressure. It also supports element replacement without system shutdown.

All flameproof junction boxes use high-quality die-cast aluminum. Every flameproof surface is precision-machined. Gap clearances strictly comply with GB3836 standards. Each explosion-proof bimetallic thermometer undergoes flameproof performance verification and temperature calibration before shipment.
