Smart Signal Conversion at the Measurement Point
Traditional temperature measurement involves a long signal chain. Thermocouples output millivolt signals. RTDs output resistance values. These weak signals need special compensation cables or shielded wires to reach the control room. External transmitters or input cards then convert these signals. The wiring is expensive. Long cable runs pick up electromagnetic interference. Signal drift becomes a constant problem. Anhui Tiankang's integrated temperature transmitter solves these issues by placing the sensor and high-precision transmitter module in the same junction box. The millivolt or resistance signal converts to a standard 4-20mA two-wire current signal right at the measurement point.
Current signals have excellent noise immunity. They can travel up to 1000 meters without degradation. There is no need for expensive compensation cables. The 4-20mA two-wire design simplifies wiring significantly. This reduces both material costs and installation time. The DCS or PLC reads the signal directly and reliably.
Integrated temperature transmitter products come in three forms. The integrated sensor type (WRNB/WZPB) has the transmitter module built directly into the thermocouple or RTD junction box. The sensor and transmitter are one unit. This compact design suits new projects. For existing installations, the plug-in transmitter module (SBWR/SBWZ) fits into the original junction box. This quickly upgrades traditional measurement points to 4-20mA output without replacing the entire sensor.


Smart Features for Reliable Measurement
The transmitter module includes multiple professional functions. Thermocouple modules have built-in automatic cold junction compensation. They also include non-linear correction algorithms. These features eliminate errors from ambient temperature changes and thermocouple non-linearity. RTD modules convert 3-wire or 4-wire connections to 4-20mA signals. This eliminates lead wire resistance errors over long distances.
Accuracy options are 0.2% FS and 0.5% FS. Export projects are recommended to use the 0.2% high-accuracy version. The module includes a fault diagnosis function. If the sensor breaks or short circuits, the output drops to ≤3.8mA or rises to ≥21mA. This follows NAMUR NE43 standards. The DCS system immediately identifies the fault. All modules are epoxy resin encapsulated. This protects against moisture and vibration. The ambient temperature range is -20 to 70°C.
Flexible Combinations and International Certifications
The integrated transmitter can be combined with assembled types (WRNB-230/WZPB-230), sheathed types (WRNB-231), wear-resistant types (WRNB-230NM), thermowell types (WRNB-01TB), and flameproof types (WRNB-240/WZPB-441). Export shipments include CE (LVD+EMC+RoHS), ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof, and EAC certifications.
