Specialized Cables for Extreme Heat Conditions

 

Steel mills, heat treatment furnaces, petrochemical high-temperature pipelines, glass melting furnaces, and nuclear reactor areas share a common challenge. Ordinary cable insulation softens, cracks, or melts under sustained high temperatures. This leads to short circuits and equipment failure. These applications require specialized cables that operate reliably under extreme temperatures for extended periods. Anhui Tiankang's high temperature resistant cable product line covers a full temperature gradient from 90°C to over 1000°C. We use XLPE, silicone rubber, fluoroplastics, mica tape, and mineral magnesium oxide insulation materials. The cables adapt to high-temperature power transmission, control signal transmission, temperature compensation, and emergency fire protection applications.

The core selection criterion for high temperature resistant cable is the long-term working temperature and short-term withstand temperature. In the 90-125°C range, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) are the most economical choices. XLPE is used for KYJV control cables and YJV power cables. EPR is flexible, water-resistant, and steam-resistant. It suits motor and pump applications. In the 180°C range, silicone rubber (SiR) is the main material. The insulation is flexible and flame-retardant. It withstands high temperatures and low temperatures (down to -60°C). Representative products are YGCP (silicone rubber shielded power cable) and KGG (silicone rubber control cable). These suit kilns, ovens, and metallurgical mobile equipment.

High temperature resistant cable products for the 200-260°C range must use fluoroplastics (FEP/PFA). These have excellent chemical corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability. They are non-flammable with no dripping. Representative products include YFVP (fluoroplastic power cable), KFVP (fluoroplastic control cable), and DJFFP (fluoroplastic computer cable). These are widely used in petrochemical high-temperature pipelines and strong corrosive environments.

Fire-Resistant and Specialty Options

 

For extreme fire conditions requiring continued power supply, we offer mineral insulated cable (MI). This uses magnesium oxide inorganic insulation and copper metal sheath. It continues supplying power at 950-1000°C flame without failure. This is mandatory for fire-fighting smoke exhaust fans, emergency lighting, and nuclear safety circuits. For thermocouple temperature measurement, KCF/SCF fluoroplastic high-temperature compensation cables withstand 200°C. They are used for heat treatment furnaces and kiln temperature signal transmission. This ensures high-temperature zone measurement data is not limited by cable material constraints. All high-temperature conductors use stranded tinned copper wire. This prevents high-temperature oxidation from increasing contact resistance.

All products strictly follow GB/T 12706, GB/T 9330, GB/T 4989, and IEC 60331 fire-resistant standards. Material formulations are verified through long-term thermal aging life testing. This ensures 20-30 year service life at rated temperatures. Nuclear-grade high-temperature cables meet GB/T22577 and NB/T20018 radiation resistance requirements. Export shipments include CE certification and IEC standard test reports.
